Farming plays a large role
in the economy and lifestyle of many Atlantic Canadians. Prince Edward
Island has an economy based on agriculture whereas Newfoundland depends
on the forestry and the fishery. Even though P.E.I, Newfoundland, Nova
Scotia and New Brunswick are lumped together and given the title, Atlantic
Canada, there are differences in each province. It is important, for us,
as citizens of Canada, to observe these differences. The object of this
webquest is to take an economy that is different from your own and research
the topic through internet sources. Also, this webquest will provide an
indepth look at running a farm and all the trials and triumphs that come
along with it. Students will be given a crash course on responsibility
and hard work.
